KEW COURT HOUSE LIVE - 2025

As one of the curators for the Kew Court House Live Series, MzRizk brought a bold, community-driven vision to the program—spotlighting artists from diverse cultural and sonic backgrounds. Her curation championed underrepresented voices and global sounds, with standout performances from Toranj, Noriko Tadano, The Kismet Project, Saltanah, Estudiantina of Melbourne, Amerigos, Ajak Kwai, and Tamalah. Through a blend of traditional, contemporary, and cross-cultural music, each event reflected her commitment to inclusive programming and intimate live experiences that celebrated Naarm’s creative and multicultural spirit.



BMF - GOLDEN THREADS 2025

For Golden Threads 2025, MzRizk curated a vibrant celebration of music, dance, and cultural heritage presented by Habibi Hafla as part of Brunswick Music Festival. The event spotlighted artists from the SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) region and beyond, weaving together diasporic sounds, movement, and storytelling into a dynamic, family-friendly experience. The 2025 lineup featured live performances by Misagh Zamani, HipHopHoe, KazaBand, Yara, and Tarabeat x MzRizk, alongside joyful community workshops including Dabke with Majd and Bellydance with Laila Shouha.

LIBRARY UP LATE x RISING x RENNIE

MzRizk curated a powerful night of music, movement, and collective energy inside the State Library of Victoria. The program featured a genre-blending lineup with DJ JNETT, Crew-X, Voices of Halo, House of Diesel, Gavin Campbell, and Rara Zulu—alongside a set by MzRizk herself. Each performance brought its own unique flair, from soulful live vocals to deep club cuts and dancefloor liberation. The night reimagined the library as a space of cultural resistance and celebration, embodying RISING’s spirit of bold expression and after-dark transformation while celebrating the legacy of Rennie Ellis.

FAIRFIELD IN FEBRUARY 2024

For Fairfield in Feb 2024, MzRizk and Habibi Hafla curated a vibrant evening of music, culture, and community by the Yarra River over two nights. Week one featured Tarabeat x MzRizk with special guests Onur Kurt, Jacinta Elamarly, Rawdrum, Basma, and dancers Laila Shouha and Melanie Khanum, blending traditional Arabic music with electronic sounds. Also performing were multilingual duo Sepideh and Mastaneh, with food by Chef Aheda's Kitchen. Week two featured powerhouse choir HALO Vocal Ensemble and Pasifika choral group Pese Mai with Maui’s Snack Bar, offering a full cultural experience. Images by Daniel Grima



LIBRARY UP LATE x MIDSUMMA 2025

MzRizk brought together a dazzling lineup inspired by the Melbourne Out Loud: Life through the lens of Rennie Ellis exhibition, the State Library was transformed into a multi-sensory celebration of the flamboyant, the fierce, and the fabulous. Under the Dome, guests danced to the ultimate queer playlist with electrifying sets by DJ Miss Katalyna, Sexy Dancer B2B DJs Gavin Campbell and Jake Judd, and MzRizk herself. The night also featured show-stopping performances by The Huxleys, Tanzer, Mo’ju live, and Thndo with Grant Windsor—offering an unforgettable evening of music, fashion, and queer excellence. ART SOUK 2024

Curated by MzRizk, Art Souk was a two-day multi-arts celebration held at Arts Centre Melbourne's The Show Room on December 6th and 7th, 2024. The event, part of Multicultural Arts Victoria's DIASPORAS program, showcased a variety of art forms, including live performances, installations, and creative workshops, with a focus on IBPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) artists. Artists included Belela, Halo Vocal Ensemble, Immy Owusu & Kojo Noah, Kaiit, KOKORO by Julie Ann Minaai and Noriko Tadano, Tarabeat x MzRizk feat. Jacinta & Ms.Onur Kurt, Te Ara Hononga and thndo.

A1 BAKERY PARTY for BMF 2024

As part of Brunswick Music Festival’s Bulleke-bek Journey, MzRizk produced a special afternoon event at A1 Bakery on Sunday 10 March. Transforming the beloved local spot into a space reminiscent of Beirut’s iconic nightclubs, the gig featured Tarabeat x MzRizk performing a vibrant fusion of traditional Arabic music and electronic sounds. Through rhythm, movement, and storytelling, the artists shared and celebrated Lebanese culture with the community—creating an unforgettable moment in the heart of Brunswick.
